Venezuela is facing record levels of child malnutrition as it experiences severe shortages of food and a hyperinflation.
In Venezuela more than 87% the population is at extreme poverty levels and unfortunately many families struggle to find basic food. Many children only eat once or twice a day. School dropout is one of the most pressing problems facing education in Venezuela.
Since 2018, Chamos has provided one nutritious and balanced daily meal to 460 children and teachers from the “El Niño Jesus de Praga” school in Catia. Thanks to this initiative we have been able to raise school attendance from 51% to 97%.
