Starting in 2016, as the health crisis in Venezuela continued to worsen, Chamos has donated much needed medicines to the Intensive Care Unit of the Children’s Hospital JM de los Ríos, one of the most important children’s hospitals in Caracas. The Unit serves an average of 225-250 patients per year. These medicines are vital for the survival of the most ill of children and hospitals require stocks of them for immediate use. At the moment, these medicines are only supplied to the hospital, in limited quantities, by the Venezuelan Ministry of Health and by Chamos. Chamos has been able to procure the medicines and deliver them safely and directly to the hospital, via a highly secure and trustworthy chain of pharmacies and doctors.
