We are delighted to announce our partnership with Clinicas Salus Madrid - who have committed to fundraising €3,000 to send 10 wheelchairs to children with mobility disabilities in Venezuela. This commitment has enabled us to purchase the 10 additional chairs needed to fill a container of 100 wheelchairs, which will be distributed in Caracas later this year in partnership with Walkabout Foundation and Fundaprocura.
For the beneficiaries of these specialised pediatric chairs, many of whom have never had a wheelchair in their life, this donation will be life-changing. It may enable them to go to school, participate in their community, move around independently, or simply sit up straight for the first time.
