In 2022, we continued to invest in promoting the healthy development of children across Venzuela. As well as embarking on an exciting recurring intervention remote healthcare project with Proyecto Mayu, we also worked with a range of other long-standing partners - providing resources and funds, as well as advice and organisational support. This included:
- Completing our distribution of 100 specialised paediatric wheelchairs in partnership with Fundaprocura - we have now distributed 210 chairs and are planning a large-scale follow-up programme to maximise their impact in early 2023
- Supporting a nutritional recovery programme for malnourished babies - providing milk and water purification sachets, and working with our partner to implement metrics collection processes and analyse impact
- Providing 380 students and 20 teachers with a daily arepa at school - a programme that was partly funded by our wonderful partner, Guasa London
- Distributing WASH infrastructure (water filters, tanks and purification sachets) to partners across the country, building their capacity and enabling them to continue their programmes safely
