In February 2023, we conducted follow-up sessions for those children who had previously received a specialised pediatric wheelchair through our programme.
We met with 50 beneficiaries and their families to adjust their wheelchairs, and repair or replace parts of the chairs if needed, adapting to the unique needs of each child. With over 70 percent of the children having never received any form of physiotherapy, we also included this therapy as part of the follow-up.
These sessions were incredibly valuable as they allowed us to assess the well-being and health of the children over time, and the significant improvements in their quality of life as well as their families.
